St. John’s Church

This painting of St. John’s Church on Madison Square in Savannah GA was done as I participated in the Savannah Sketchers Plein Air Group sponsored by Telfair Museums under the direction of Kip Bradley (shown in the 2nd photo with his easel set up next to mine). Painting outdoors is challenging but so rewarding. Challenging in that there is always the weather and changing light. Rewarding in that being on location offers so much more information than a photo can ever do.
