Watercolorist Debbie Redden held a two-day workshop in May 2017. Attendees used pen and ink sketches they made to make sure values were determined before approaching their watercolor painting.
A week-long workshop with Dwight Rose was held at Wild Acres Retreat in the mountains of NC in July 2018.
During a three-day workshop led by Penny Thompson we learned how to use a photograph to make a light pencil sketch on watercolor paper, to apply paint from light to dark to add depth. The emphasis on values was established.
