Description of Oak Reflection

One of my favorite spots for a rest during a bike ride is a bridge that crosses Deer Creek on Skidaway Island. I have taken many photos of an old oak tree that reflects into the creek at high tide. The composition for this piece was inspired by “Marsh” – a painting by one of my favorite pastelists, Richard McKinley. I really enjoyed working on the colors for this painting attempting to harmonize the greens.
