Lourmarin Lilies

Chateau Lourmarin is a converted castle that was restored in 1920, then transformed into a trust to support young artists. It was one of my favorite spots for photos during a trip to Provence in May 2019.

The painting is on GatorBoard that I prepared with Daniel Smith watercolor ground. Several coats of spray and then liquid varnish were applied so that the artwork can be framed without glass.
